Fifth Grade End Of Year Activities Hi 5th Grade Families, I want to provide everyone more details for the fun end-of-year festivities planned for our 5thgraders! I have attached a flyer to this email with an overview for the last week of school. There is also a copy that went home in your child's folder 2 weeks ago. The students will start the week off with a fun kickball game, popsicles and Chick-Fil-A for lunch on Monday, May 23rd! We have an awesome dance planned for all the students on Wednesday, May 25th! The theme is "Blast Off To Middle School" and it is going to be a fun environment for the kids to cut loose and enjoy being with their friends! Thank you so much to everyone who donated supplies to help us decorate! The cafeteria is going to look fantastic! The kids can wear their normal school clothes to the dance. We really appreciate your help and support! Lastly, on Thursday, May 26th, after the graduation ceremony and reception, we have a great pool party planned for the students! The invitation for the pool party and a liability waiver is also attached to this email. Every parent must fill out the liability waiver before their child can attend the party. Please fill out the attached waiver and turn in in to your homeroom teacher by Friday, May 20th. There is a $10 fee for this party to cover the pool and lifeguards and you can pay the fee on the PTA website. CLICK HERE for the pool party link (or log on to the PTA website, select "my account" and "forms and paperwork"). Please let me know if you have any questions at all! Headphones With the final iReady Diagnostic for Reading starting on Monday, it is even more critical that students are bringing their own headphones to class daily. Many students are beginning to rely on extra pairs from teachers and/or friends, and that is just not sustainable. Please make sure your child has a pair of headphones of their own in their backpacks to use each day. If you have a financial concern regarding heaphones, please reach out to your child's teacher.
