My name is Kristin Fullerton, and I can't even tell you how excited I am to be at NPE with our awesome Panthers! This will be my tenth year teaching - seven years of 5th grade and one year of 4th! I may be biased, but 5th grade is pretty much the best.
I'm originally from just outside of Auburn, Alabama (War Eagle!) and lived several places in the Auburn-ish area and in Tampa before moving to Forsyth County when I was in 7th grade. I completed my undergrad at The University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner) where I received a BFA in Theatre - Stage Management. After graduating from college I lived in New York City for a handful of years where I worked as a freelance stage manager and as a house photographer and Assistant Photo Editor for the online version of the theatrical publication, Playbill.com.
After leaving New York and working for a year I realized that it was time to head back to school and focus on the career that had always been in my heart - teaching! I completed my Masters Degree at the University of South Florida in May of 2013 and have been teaching ever since! In addition to being PreK-5 certified, I am also certified in Middle Grades Mathematics (4-8) and teach the Advanced and Accelerated math class here at New Prospect.
When I'm not teaching I am a voracious reader (Potterhead for life!), crocheter, Netflix binge-watcher and budding world traveler. My list of places to go seems to be never ending, but so far I've made a dent and visited Canada, Mexico, The Bahamas, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, England, Italy, Greece, Turkey, and The Netherlands! Next up, hopefully, are Scotland and Ireland. I'm also a former competitive equestrian and love to get outside and get dirty!
