On Thursday an orange paper went home explaining our Human Growth and Development Unit for 5th grade health. On May 13th we will be splitting up the boys and the girls to each watch an hour video about how their bodies will be going through changes with puberty to cover our health standards. The letter has more details about this video and has a sign off if you do not want your child to watch it and you want to cover the content at home. This is not a sexual education video- this a human growth and development video. Please read the letter thoroughly, and if you have questions after that you can contact me, Mrs. Zarzour, at [email protected]. Thank you!-Diana Zarzour, Curriculum Support Teacher iReady Diagnostic Results Over the last two weeks, all students completed our final iReady Diagnostics for the year in reading and math! End of the Year Slide Show We can hardly believe it, but we are about to embark on our last nine weeks of 5th Grade! We need your help! Every year at our graduation ceremony, we display a slide show consisting of one baby and one current photo of each 5th grader. The students LOVE seeing the photos, and it is always a sweet memory for parents and teachers alike! Here's where we need your help! In order to make sure we have everyone's photos in plenty of time, we are starting to collect them now. How to send in your child's photos:
If you have any questions, please email Ms. Fullerton at [email protected] and she will do her best to help you 🙂 Fifth Grade Group Photos Do you have photos of this group of students over their years at NPE? We want to see them! We will be adding photos through the years into our Graduation Slide Show as well and would love to have as many as possible! If you have photos to share, please upload them to the folder linked HERE. Contact Ms. Fullerton at [email protected] if you have any questions! This assessment is one of the things Mrs. Zarzour considers when looking at what advanced courses or supports a student may need next fall. Please encourage your child to do their very best on this assessment as it is an important end of the year assessment to show all of their growth.
