NPE Holiday Dress Up Days WBMS Walk For Water Today (Friday) we had the special treat of members of WBMS's 7th Grade Character Council come read to us and talk about their fundraiser - Walk For Water! The council is raising funds to repair 20 water wells in South Sudan. To learn more, see the flyer and QR codes below! NPE Holiday Shop Our Holiday Shop is back December 7th-13th. This is a wonderful time for your children to pick out gifts AND wrap them for family and friends! We will have our fifth grade preview day on Wednesday, December 7. Our shopping times will be during Math class, with Fullerton and Fernandez's classes on 12/8, Lew and Childs' Classes on Tuesday 12/9, and anyone who did not bring money on their class's shopping days on 12/12 and 12/13. International Academic Competitions Does your child want to participate in and Academic Competitions for Geography, Science and or History? IAC that holds regional competitions in the subjects of science, history, and geography. Last year in Georgia over 16,000 students took the free exams, and many of those attended the regionals at River Trail Middle School. This season there will be five regionals in Georgia. This can be for any K-5 student😊. Let’s show them what we’ve got Panthers! Click here and here for the informational flyers! Art Class Wish! A note from our Art Teacher, Ms. Spencer: As you know there are many 4th and 5th grade students, and they are using wipes at the end of class for this current project. Our supply has diminished quickly. Hand washing at the sink takes a very long time, and the material ( oil pastels) comes off better with wipes rather than washing at the sink. Baby wipes and/or Clorox sanitizing wipe donations would help the art room greatly! Device Assistance Our students in grades 3-5 have now been issued laptops to use at school. These laptops should be taken home daily to charge, and all students should login and practice using their device and/or Microsoft Teams prior to the remote day Nov. 8th. Occasionally a device will need tech support and students will turn the device in to the Media Center to receive a replacement. We are waiting on delivery of replacement devices for several students. If devices need support at home, parents may call the FCS Technology Helpdesk to ask questions. If devices prevent students from completing classwork at home, teachers will allow time at school for completion of assignments. Happy Friday, Panther Families! Can you believe we're already in December?!
