Study Guides Unit Test - Adjustments This week the Unit 2 Math test on decimals (on level only) and Unit 2 Reading test on theme and text structure are going home. We have adjusted the scores from the online assessment to award students more points for the multi-select answers. This means the test is out of more points and is adjusted on the cover page. Please send your homeroom (or math) teacher an email if you have any concerns with this after looking at the assessment. As always, thank you for your support! The 5th grade team Remote Learning Day We have a remote learning day on 11/8 due to Election Day. Below you will find the assignments for fifth grade as well as the choice board created by our specials teachers. More information and materials will be sent home with your student on Monday. NPE Spelling Bee The New Prospect Spelling Bee will be held on Monday, December 5th at 8:00 AM. Each 4th and 5th grade class will conduct a classroom spelling bee during the week of November 14th-18th to determine a winner and runner-up to represent each class. The winners of the class bees will advance and have the opportunity to compete in the New Prospect Spelling Bee. The winner of the school bee will go on to represent New Prospect at the Fulton County Spelling Bee on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 8:30 AM (location TBD). Your child’s teacher has explained this to the class and offered spelling study lists to the students if they are interested in studying for the classroom and school bees. Participation is not required. If you would like a copy of the School Spelling Bee Study List and grade level study words, please reach out to your child’s teacher to send home a copy. If you have any further questions regarding the New Prospect Spelling Bee, please contact our Assistant Principal, Margaret Moore, at [email protected]. Rock Eagle Photos Check out photos from our awesome trip to Rock Eagle HERE! Device Assistance Our students in grades 3-5 have now been issued laptops to use at school. These laptops should be taken home daily to charge, and all students should login and practice using their device and/or Microsoft Teams prior to the remote day Nov. 8th. Occasionally a device will need tech support and students will turn the device in to the Media Center to receive a replacement. We are waiting on delivery of replacement devices for several students. If devices need support at home, parents may call the FCS Technology Helpdesk to ask questions. If devices prevent students from completing classwork at home, teachers will allow time at school for completion of assignments. Comments are closed.
