Unit Assessments The assessments being used across content areas this year are considered secure documents by Fulton County. As a result, we cannot send copies of the tests home. In order for parents to have the most up to date and helpful information in regards to their child's performance on assessments, we will be sending home Unit Assessment Standards Reports. Click Here to See an Example Report. On this report you will find a breakdown of all standards being assessed on that particular assessment, along with which questions fit within which standards. Each question has an allotted point value, which is also on the document. The student's score is located at the bottom of the report, along with any comments their teacher has about their performance. These documents should be signed and returned to the teacher as soon as possible. Please take photos of these documents or make copies for yourself to keep at home. Computers Please make sure your child is charging their computer nightly. We are seeing many students arrive at school with batteries at 20% or less which inhibits the student from using them throughout the day as we do not have charging carts or chargers at school. Reflections The 2021-2022 Reflections Theme is: I Will Change The World By... The Reflections Program is a National PTA and Georgia PTA cultural arts competition. Since 1969, over 10 million students across the nation have taken part in this popular PTA program. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. We invite everyone to tell your story through dance, a short film, a poem or story, an original song, a photo or visual work of art. The Reflections program is for ALL students! You do not need to be proficient in the arts to participate! Entries must be submitted using this form here [docs.google.com]. The deadline to submit is October 22nd to the BIN located near FRONT DESK at New Prospect or electronically at email: [email protected]. Reflections Video: https://www.georgiapta.org/reflections/reflections-submission-info [georgiapta.org] If you have any questions about Reflections, please contact Jalpa Patel at [email protected]. Study Guides Study guides for upcoming assessments are given out one week before the assessment (the Friday before or the Monday of the week) and cover all material that students could possibly see on the test. Questions concerning the study guide should be directed to your child's teacher. Pop-Its Students are permitted to bring Pop-Its to class as long as they are not distracting to others. Please make sure that student names are written in permanent marker clearly on the Pop-Its so that they can be returned to their owners in the event that they are lost or left behind. Classroom Photos If you would prefer your child's photo not appear in our photo gallery or on teacher-run twitter pages, please let your child's homeroom teacher know so their face can be replaced with a smiley! Headphones Please continue to send your child to school with headphones. They are necessary to complete iReady practice and other subject area activities within the classroom. If you are unable to send headphones for your child for any reason, please reach out to their homeroom teacher. Birthday Celebrations! Happy Birthday to the following students:
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher! Have a safe, happy weekend and we will see you all next week! Happy Friday, Panthers and Panther Parents!
