iReady Diagnostics On Monday, April 15 will begin to take our end of the year iReady Diagnostic assessments in Reading and on Monday, April 22 in Math. These tests are nationally normed and will provide us with a snapshot of all they have learned this school year! Unlike GA Milestones, it is not limited to just the grade level standards and is a K-8 adaptive assessment. This allows us to see the full depth of a student's understanding. This assessment is one of the things Mrs. Zarzour considers when looking at what advanced courses or supports a student may need next fall. Please encourage your child to do their very best on this assessment as it is an important end of the year assessment to show all of their growth. Lost and Found We have a huge, huge amount of items in our Lost and Found! Please view the video linked below to see if any of your child's belongings have found their way there! https://www.wevideo.com/view/3362469537 END OF YEAR ACTIVITIES We are RAPIDLY approaching the end of the year! In celebration of the students' hard work this year, our amazing 5th Grade Parents have planned some awesome events for our students to participate in! This information will go home in Thursday folders next week, but can also be found at THIS LINK. End of the Year Slide Show We can hardly believe it, but we are about to embark on our last nine weeks of 5th Grade! We need your help! Every year at our graduation ceremony, we display a slide show consisting of one baby and one current photo of each 5th grader. The students LOVE seeing the photos, and it is always a sweet memory for parents and teachers alike! Here's where we need your help! In order to make sure we have everyone's photos in plenty of time, we are starting to collect them now. How to send in your child's photos:

GA Milestones Device Preparation - Secure Practice “Stress Test” next week: New Prospect 3rd – 5th Grade students will be participating in a districtwide “stress test” in preparation for the upcoming Georgia Milestones. This will occur next week on Wednesday, March 20th at 9:00AM. The purpose of the “stress test” is to check our student devices by simulating a testing environment to see the stress it puts on the DRC Insight Testing application and the FCS network. In addition, students will be able to preview the available tools accessible within the testing platform and practice procedures that will be used for prepping their devices, logging in, and navigating the questions within the platform. This is only a practice and not a graded or evaluative assessment in any way. Boosterthon is Back!! Yearbook Update!
